FIBA 3×3 Basketball World Championship 2019
Creating a global sports spectacle in the heart of Amsterdam with cultural relevance and impact.
In collaboration with House of Sports, TIG Sports, FIBA, the NBB, and the Municipality of Amsterdam, I led the creative vision for the 2019 FIBA 3×3 World Cup. Hosted at the iconic Museumplein, this event blended top-tier sports and entertainment, transforming a city-center landmark into a global stage. Over 1.5 years, I drove the end-to-end creative process across multiple teams, countries, and stakeholders, ensuring every detail resonated with audiences locally and globally.
What we achieved: Integrated Marketing Strategy: Designed and implemented a multi-channel approach, delivering a consistent message across all touchpoints.
Dynamic Brand Identity: Created a cohesive brand look and feel, including a comprehensive brand book, to unify visuals across static, motion, and experiential assets.
Immersive Experiences: Designed basketball courts and a main stage using 3D software, turning Museumplein into a stunning centerpiece that connected fans to the game.
Cross-Channel Visuals: Produced high-quality assets for OOH, DOOH, motion, social, and landing pages, ensuring cultural relevance and global appeal.

The event wasn’t just a sports competition—it was a cultural moment. Our storytelling through visuals, video, and experiential design connected the audience to the spirit of 3×3 basketball, helping FIBA secure its inclusion as an Olympic sport. This campaign united stakeholders across EMEA, strengthened FIBA’s global brand presence, and positioned Amsterdam as a hub for international sports and entertainment.
With its mix of local insight and global execution, this project highlights my ability to craft culturally relevant experiences with broad impact—perfectly aligned with FIBA’s vision for the future.
